Lasse Ostebo Lovik - Sportsman of the Day

It is pleasant to be able to quote an example of gallantry over and above the call of duty in today's first round of the Challengers 2 tournament. Luis Felipe Jaime Montalvan of Spain was very short of time against 15-year-old Lasse Ostebo Lovik of Norway (photo above. Luis Felipe queened a pawn but failed to press his clock with only seconds left to go. Instead of letting his opponent's time run out, young Lasse pointed this out to his Spanish opponent who then pressed his clock with seconds and eventually went on to win the game. Not many players would be as sporting as Lasse.
