The highest placed eligible player, not already qualified, in the 2009 Gibraltar Masters shall qualify for the 2009 British Championship.
The ICC PRIZE of travel, room, bed, breakfast and evening meal for one person is being offered in November 2008 for the winner of an exclusive online tournament to be hosted on the world's most popular playing site, the Internet Chess Club (ICC - www.chessclub.com). The winner of the 2008 ICC Online Qualier was GM Tigran L Petrosian of Armenia.
Prizes in all events shall be paid by cheque or electronic transfer, except for the two evening blitz tournaments and the first week Challenger and Amateur events. Any player wishing to receive his potential prize money in cash (pounds sterling or euros) must inform the hotel of their wish to exercise this option on the entry form. There shall be a charge of 3% of the prize money for this service. No prize will be given before 11pm on the 5th February 2009.
The organizers shall reserve the right of refusal to any participant without assigning a reason.
